About AFWG

The Asia Fungal Working Group (AFWG), an International Society for Human and Animal Mycology (ISHAM) working group, is dedicated to advancing the standards of diagnosis and management of invasive fungal infections across continental Asia and the Asia-Pacific.

The AFWG was founded in 2009 by a group of infectious disease and mycology experts from various Asian and Asia-Pacific countries and regions. The AFWG became a working group under ISHAM in 2010.

The Asia Fungal Working Group is an organization of professionals dedicated to advancing the understanding, diagnostics and management of invasive fungal infections and augmenting fungal surveillance data to support best practices across continental Asia and the Asia-Pacific.

Purpose

To improve patient care and outcomes by advancing the diagnostics and clinical management of invasive fungal infections.
